Everyone that lives in or visits Manhattan wants a view. Real estate prices skyrocket when there’s a Central Park or Empire State Building viewpoint. At Arlo Hotels, we understand the majesty of Manhattan and the need to find that perfect spot to soak it all in.
Here’s our list of the six best views in the entire city. Of course, two favorites that we do not include on the list are our Arlo Rooftop Bars at our NoMad and SoHo locations. We might be slightly biased, but these two areas provide people with great views, legendary cocktails, and that amazing Arlo Hotels service.
Our list starts with the observatory of the Empire State Building, a gorgeous area on the 86th floor that provides views for miles. It’s an extraordinary panoramic view and the most romantic, cinematic, and essential viewpoint in the entire city. For a view headed uptown, visit the Freedom Tower’s One World Trade Center Observation Deck on floors 100 to 102. It’s the highest viewpoint in the city, one that makes the cabs and pedestrians look fake and tiny.
To see the scale of Manhattan at eye level, walk across the Brooklyn Bridge from the Brooklyn side. It provides you with stunning views of the city and a close-up look at the bridge that has stood strong since 1883. For a different type of view, go to Belvedere Castle in Central Park. It sits on a high point and offers a vantage point of Manhattan and an ideal perch to spot wildlife and the thousands of people that use the park every day. Other contenders on the Arlo Hotels “Best Views List” include Governors Island, The High Line, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art Roof Garden. The best part about Manhattan? There are views everywhere you go, whether it’s atop Rockefeller Center or walking on the street towards a bagel shop. There’s always something to see.
