Fat-rich foods are a particularly great pairing for CBD drops, so if you’re using isolate drops such as Vitabiotics CBD then you can add your desired dose to the likes of olive oil, coconut oil and butter, as well as nut butters, avocados and emulsified fats like mayonnaise. So, as for meal ideas, you could make CBD butter for adding to dishes or spreading on toast, mixing CBD into your guacamole or creating a healthy CBD-infused nut butter for adding to dressings and dips. You’re not limited to dips and dressings for your CBD meals. Hot dishes are also a great vehicle for CBD, such as pasta, seafood or soups. Whether you’re making hearty comfort dishes like macaroni cheese or a rich meat stew, or you’re going for a healthier option such as a vegetable-rich soup or stir-fry, CBD can be added in afterwards, just before serving, so you get the benefits while you eat. A word of caution, however – when you’re creating hot dishes, make sure you’re not exposing your CBD drops to high temperatures as this can affect the compound. Instead, it’s a good idea to cook your dish as normal and add your CBD at the last minute before you eat.
Baked treats and cakes
CBD can be added to sweet treats and baked products too, such as cakes, cookies and energy bites. Just be sure that you’re baking them at 175oC or less to preserve the quality and potency of the CBD drops. If you’re baking at a higher temperature than this, you could always omit the CBD from the recipe and instead add it to the toppings, such as the frosting or filling of your cakes or biscuits.
